God has sent his angels down to earth to take your father to his eternal home in Heaven. As wonderful as Heaven must be, and the Joy your dad most certainly feels in his heart right now, it is so tough on you, because you miss him. I always think that we miss the ones that loved us the most, deeper then any emotion we will ever feel. That is, in itself, a statement of your love for your father, because he cared for you each and every day of your life...and you will remain in his heart, in Heaven, forever. Words of condolence will neither make your pain go away or bring your father back, but it will give you strength to carry on. I have been there Nancy and I feel what you are feeling. Take the time to grieve with your loved ones... Know that this old classmate is praying for strength and guidance, for you....and your entire family. Encirle yourself with love... Call up your most cherished memories and allow your father to live on, inside of your heart, and your children's hearts as well... Take Good Care... God Bless you all.. With Sincere Heartfelt thoughts....Jackie

We are so saddened by the loss of Uncle Art. I remember as a child loving to spend time with you and Uncle Art. You were always to me, Uncle and Aunt and I love you both. I have fond memories of you and Uncle Art coming to visit Nanny and Grampie. I will always remember the love that was shared by each of you when we were growing up. Thank you for showing me that family is the most important thing in life. We wish we could have been there with you and our prayers are with you and the family. With love always Naomi, Sylvain and Gabby.

Mom told me that your father was so serious and quiet when he came back from the war and even after your mom and dad married. She said, when he saw you, he grinned from ear to ear and she stopped worrying about him being so serious! He showed me his medals one time when I was about 7 and I remember just hanging on to his explanation of what they stood for. He was more than family to us: he and Uncle Ronnie gave us so much help to get past the hardship caused by both Uncle Horace and Uncle Cyril. You have lost a wonderful father.

Gertrude and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. Art was a true gentelman and an interesting guy to talk to on any subject. I always enjoyed going to your house with Dale in my younger years just to sit at the table and talk with Art. He was happy to give you anything you needed. I remember him letting Dale and I use his car ramp out back to work on my first old car when ever we wanted to. He would just smile and wave as we drove in and out and in and out. He will be missed. Trevor and Janet Shaw
