No matter the time of year that walk to the cove was made a little brighter by the committed smile and wave of Grampy Morrison. He was a positive light to all who knew him. Where do we start with 'this gentleman'? Met Don 31 yrs ago, when we purchased a cottage in Buckleys Cove. Could never pass his home without coming in for a cup of tea & a chat. Kids called him 'Grampy Morrison'. He was a charmer, kind, caring, great wit, positive, gentle man with such a 'strong family unit' and was the 'happiest' at Sand Point & on the Beach with children playing on the raft with them. So many memories/ stories and special moments with Don. Thank You Don, for your fellowship/ friendship & kindess shown to me & my Family. We never grew up in Sand Pt, but sure 'felt' like we did, thanks to Don. God Bless you, until we meet again. Love you very much xoxo

"Grampy" Morrison as all of the children in Buckley's Cove called him, will be remembered for his kindness to children and his love of dogs, his wave from the window and his ready smile. He was a gentle soul who was loved by all. Sand Point won't quite be the same without him. Gayle

The kids and I want to pass on our condolences to all of the Morrison family. Both Cory and Mallory reminded me this week of their many fond memories of both Connie and Don during our summers and weekend visits. Don's unfailing "welcome back" each weekend as we pulled in with kids, dogs, and groceries always made us feel we had arrived home. He will be missed.

Doug & family, It is with great sadness that I just read of your Dad's passing. Yesterday's newspaper arrived so wet that it was all but impossible to read and I didn't check the obits. Today I read the sad news. I still have the article on the Sand Point Lighthouse on my desk and I was planning on dropping by to visit your Dad. I have company from Florida and after this weekend, I promised myself that I would get over to see him. I'm so sorry that I missed that opportunity and also visitation. Today I'm committed to entertaining company and won't be able to attend your Dad's funeral. Your Mom & Dad were special people and the world was a better place because of them. Please accept my deepest condolences and I'll try to get over to see you in person before the summer is over.

I'm sorry I could not make it, it sucks when life gets in the way at times. I'll miss great-uncle Don and I'm sad that I hadn't had the opportunity to spend more time with him. I have fond memories of Sand Point as a child and one of my fondest was being his roommate at Genevieve's funeral and him discussing his time with the RCN. A great man and the world is worse off with his passing. RIP uncle Don.
