Beverley, I am not sure if you remember me but we went to school together way back in Lorne School. As soon as I read the name Ottaway in the obits my mind went to you and sure enough it was your Dad's. I am very sorry to read this and wish to send my sincere condolences to you and your entire family. By the way, I think you look a lot like your Dad in that younger picture of him, at least that is how I remember you looking but that was a long time ago. Cherish the memories.

To Ed and the Ottaway family, My father, Harold Mills, worked for Vern Ottaway for many years, and often said it was one of the best jobs he ever had. Dad admired and respected Vern, and they were friends as well as business associates, maintaining contact even after my Dad retired. I was able to speak with Vernon at Ridgewood a few times when I visited there as part of our Legion Branch duties, and he remembered my father and we always had a nice chat. My condolences on your loss. Vernon Ottaway was a good man, and he will be missed. Don

I was saddened to hear that Uncle Vernon had passed away. I remember when I was about 10 or 11 visiting with Aunt Florence and he made toast and eggs for my breakfast one morning. I had never had "sunny side up" eggs before, but I liked them, and have ever since. I know you will miss him very much. You are all in my thoughts during this difficult time. Your cousin, Margery.
