Obituary of Marlene McAdam

It is with heart felt sadness the family of S. Marlene McAdam loving wife of Ronald F. McAdam announce her passing on Sunday September 14, 2014 at home with her family. Born in Saint John May 7th, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Vivian (McColgan) Riley. Marlene is survived and will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years Ronald F. McAdam; daughters Martha Jane Cripps (David) of Quispamsis and Ellen Dianne Rumson (William) of Riverview; brother Douglas (Sylvia) Riley of Charlottetown, PEI; grandchildren Adam and John (Jennifer) Cripps, Joshua, Geoffrey and Jacob Rumson and great grandchildren Alexandré and Payton Rose. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her Aunt Edna Montyr. Marlene’s most enjoyable times were spent with family, she enjoyed social functions with her friends, luncheons at the curling club and especially getting together with the "Sunshine Girls". She participated in and enjoyed several sports, including walks at the nature park, tennis, golf, badminton, and curling. She spent her summer months enjoying her cottage on the Washademoak Lake and her winter months at their trailer in Largo, Florida. Funeral arrangements under the care of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John. At Marlene’s request there will be no visitation or funeral, a graveside service is planned with the family.
