Marlene will be missed - what a wonderful woman, mother, wife, and nieighbour she was. I have such fond memories of summers spent at Washadamoak Lake, oftentimes in the McAdam's trailer - Marlene was always so welcoming, ready with a kind word, a snack for some hungry teenagers, and a heart-felt laugh at anything that struck her as funny! I miss those days - such good memories. Hugs to Ron, Ellen, Martha, and their families. She will be missed, but will certainly never be forgotten. xoxo Krista

We went through a lot together, both good and tough times. I credit Marlene for getting Mom through the end of the J&A McMillan days. I will miss our brief chats and her laugh! You are a lucky Man Ronnie to have met and married your Sole Mate! Now a days couples don't understand what that is. I love you both. Ashley

Claire Ryan posted a condolence
Dear Ron, Martha, Ellen and Family, I was very sorry to hear about Marlene. I have great memories of her from childhood - both in town and at Washdamoak. I always loved it when Uncle Ron and Aunt Marlene were coming over, and was so disappointed to find out at one point that you weren't really my Aunt and Uncle and cousins. But you know what they say - you can also create a family of your choosing, and that's a great thing as well. Thank you for being such good friends to my Mum and Dad. I can still see Ron and Dad having coffee in the Alpine Room at the end of the work day. Marlene will be missed. My heart goes out to all of you. Hugs - Claire Ryan & Family
