Obituary of James Robert Darrell

With appreciation for a life well-lived, the family of James Robert Darrell "Jim", loving husband of Mary E. (Long) Darrell, announces his passing which occurred on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born on August 6, 1932, he was a son of the late Robert "Bob" G. and Mary L. (Howe) Darrell. In addition to his wife, Mary of 63 years, Jim will be missed by his sons: Gary, Don (Joanne), David and Doug; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; his siblings, Carl Darrell (Edie), Bernice Fairbrother and Helen Hughson; as well as several nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his parents; his daughter Susan in 1973; great-grandson Dylan; and his sister, Viola. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB (634-7425). A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
