Mother’s prayers were finally answered on March 13, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, 20 days short of of her 98th birthday. Anna was born in Kingston, New Brunswick to William and Gertrude (Wheaton) Cochrane on April 2, 1920. She was Nana to grandson Jamie (Katrina) Cox and great-granddaughters Sarah and Kelsie, and aunt Nan to special niece, Marilyn Leblanc. She is also survived by a niece and five nephews on her husband’s side of the family. Anna is the last surviving member of her family, being predeceased by her husband, brother Harvey, sisters Gertrude and Sadie and son-in-law Buddy Day. Anna belonged to Willing Workers and A.C.W. in the parish of Greenwich and also the Greenwich Gems Seniors Group. Anna and Hartley both enjoyed the Gems and Recreation Center card parties. For having lost her mother at birth she turned out to be the kindest, sweetest mother anyone could hope for. Thank You to everyone who helped mother on her nearly 98 year journey.
