Obituary of Stanley Cecil Magee

The death of Stan Magee, husband of Rhoda (Smith) Magee, occurred on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born July 21, 1930, he was a son of the late James and Evelyn (Waters) Magee. Prior to working for T.S. Simms for 49 years, Stan drove a taxi in the Saint John area, and was a member of the Orange Lodge. He loved bowling, hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife, Rhoda, Stan is survived by his sons: Raymond (Tammie), Daniel, Kenneth (Marilyn), and Reginald (Tina); grandchildren: Connor, Tyler, Lisa, Tiffany, and Tabitha; step-granddaughter, Vanessa and her children, Cody and Heavenley; brothers: Ralph (Eileen) and Douglas; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Stan was predeceased by his brothers: Ronald, Gordon, Russell, and Edwin; and his sister, Dorothy. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425), with visiting on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 11 am from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel. Interment will follow in the Church of the Good Shepherd Cemetery.
