Obituary of David Allison Charlton

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of David "Bushy" on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Saint John John Regional Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, 9 months and 11 days, Linda "Dixie" Charlton; children: Paula (Alden) Duke and Andrew (favourite daughter in law Kimberly) Charlton; very special granddaughters Emily (Justin) Brewer and Courtney "Plum Pudding" Duke (Josh), to whom he was a proud papa; and his grandpuppy Willow. David spent his working career as a mechanic and enjoyed tinkering with Fords and fixing the Chevys. He enjoyed racing in Miramichi with his son Andrew and Kim, camping with his family and going out dancing with Paula, the Aldenator and family. He loved having visitors and his home was always welcoming to those he knew. David is also survived by his siblings: Debbie (Charlie) Easton, Joe (Barb) Charlton, Gary (Shirley Alice) Charlton; sister in law Judy Charlton; special cousins, Kenny Kelly and Robert Burton; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Allan and Irene (Burton) Charlton; brother Harris Charlton; sister Francis Perkins and her husband Dale; and grandpuppy Jersey. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Rd., Saint John, NB (634-7425) with visiting on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 6-8 PM and Monday, November 14, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers remembrances in memory of David may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
