Obituary of Nancy Gray Cameron

It is with great sadness the family of Nancy Gray (Peabody) Cameron, wife of the late Raymond E. Cameron, announce her passing which occurred on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Blacks Harbour, NB on July 30, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Gray) Peabody. Nancy worked as an RNA for 40 years, and was employed with the old Saint John General Hospital and the DVA and retired from the Ridgewood Veterans Wing. She was a member of the Rivervalley Mad Hatters. She enjoyed playing dominos with her friends and playing cards and bingo at the Kiwanis Lodge, and took part in the Lodge suppers and teas with her many friends. Nancy is survived by her children: Janet (Bob) Losier, Fred (Tammy) Cameron, Brenda (John) Beaulieu, Wayne (Holly) Cameron, Joan Naves, Edra (Mark) Ottaway and Ronald Cameron; step children: Frances Hennigar (Marlene Allaby), Linda (Guy) Aubin, Lois (Curtis) McLeod, Rodney (Linda) Cameron; two brothers, Jimmy (Diane) and Reg (Roberta); two sisters, Betty (Ron) Lyons and Lorna (Jack) McPherson; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Nancy was predeceased by her sister, Mabel (Ron) Legassie. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Rd., Saint John West, NB (634-7425) with visitation on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 12:00 PM. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Nancy may be made to the IWK Children’s Hospital.
