Obituary of Todd David Janes

The death of Todd Janes of Saint John occurred unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on June 29, 1979 in Saint John, he was the son of Danny and Leah (Moore) Janes of West Saint John. Todd graduated from Simonds High School in 1999. He will always be remembered for his kind, quiet and reserved ways. Todd was passionate about fishing, enjoyed fixing up cars, going to concerts and was a loyal Toronto Blue Jays fan. He always held a special place in his heart for animals and especially enjoyed the company of his dog, Vegas. He will be sadly missed. Besides his parents, Todd is also survived by nephews, Matthew Greene (Alexis) of Saint John and Wyatt Janes of Alberta; sister-in-law, Jackie Janes of Alberta; uncles, Barry Moore (Paulette) and Gary Moore (Jean) all of Saint John; great-aunt, Isabella Moore of Saint John; great-niece, Ryah Greene; as well as several cousins and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Geoff in 2009; paternal grandparents, George and Blanche Janes; as well as maternal grandparents, Russell and Ruth Moore. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John (634-7425) with visiting on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 2:00 - 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 10:30 AM. For those who wish, remembrances may be made the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue.
