Obituary of Mary Dorothy Boudreau

With appreciation for a life well lived, the family of Dorothy Boudreau, loving wife of the late Lawrence Boudreau, announces her passing which occurred on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born on July 5, 1919 to the late Gilbert and Mary (Cormier) Stever. Dorothy worked in the Food Service industry for many years and when it came time, she and Lawrence retired in Sussex. Dorothy enjoyed going to the trailer in Belleisle and she loved to knit. Every year, she would commit to knitting a couple hundred pairs of stockings for the Empty Stocking Fund. Dorothy is survived by her children: Muriel (Harold) Dobson, Brian (Joanne) Boudreau and Diane (David) Brown, her grandchildren: Kenny and Sam Dobson, Erin Smith, Shelley Clinton, Scott Brown and Stephanie Foster, her 11 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, her sister Stella Doucet and members of her extended family. Besides her parents and husband, Lawrence, Dorothy was predeceased by her granddaughter Barb Dobson. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) where visitation will be held on Monday, July 18 from 11-2. The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 2pm on the same day in the Bay View Chapel with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
