Obituary of William Samuel Dunham

It is with heavy hearts that the family of William Dunham announce his passing which occurred on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home. He was born on July 16, 1930 to the late Samuel and Jennie (McLeod) Dunham. Bill worked for Saint John Housing for a number of years. In his early years, he was a part of a Salvage Corps team. He enjoyed going for walks, but Bill’s most loved past time was catching a ball game at Memorial Field; his favourite team was the Blue Jays. He will be missed by all who knew him. Bill is survived by his siblings: Margaret Lyons and Freda (Clarence) Dempster and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brother Roy Dunham, infant sister Jennie Dunham and his brother-in-law Bart Lyons. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) where visitation will be held on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5 from 2-4 and 6-8. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 6 at 11 am from Bay View’s Chapel and interment will follow at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
