Obituary of Percy Murray McKeown

It is with heavy hearts that family of Percy McKeown, loving husband to Cathy (Robison) McKeown, announces his passing which occurred on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born February 25, 1951 to Robert and Ellen (Munn) McKeown. Percy was a Pipefitter and was a member of Union 213 for 45 years. Percy enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and later in life, riding his motorcycle. His love for the outdoors made him an excellent Scout leader with 1st Westfield Scouts. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Percy is survived by his wife, Cathy, parents: Robert and Ellen, his children: Brett and Tressa (Sean), his grandchildren: Aidan, Jacqueline, Julian, Samuel, Chloe, Sophie, Claire, Keltee an Ireland, his siblings: Danny (Brenda), Wardie (Marion), Billy (Sherry), Frankie, Cidy (Crystal) and Patsy (Jamie), his sister-in-law Lorna and several nieces, nephews and members of his extended family. Percy was predeceased by his daughter Christin and granddaughter Scarlett. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) where visitation will be held on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday April 17 from 2-4 and 6-8. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Bay View Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
