Obituary of Evangeline Mary Albert

It is with great sadness the family of Evangeline Mary Albert announce her passing, which occurred on Sunday, April 3rd, 2016 at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Home. Born on April 8th, 1946 in Paquetville, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Henri and Winnie (Leger) Roy. Evangeline, also known as "Angie", worked for NBTel/Aliant for over 20 years. During her retirement from Bell Aliant, she dedicated a period of time volunteering and cooking for the Branch #69 Legion. You could always find Angie enjoying her quiet time at Saint Rest Beach, where she would enjoy reading, knitting, eating, napping and people watching. Although it was simple, Angie loved life, her family, children, friends anybody she made contact with. She had an amazing smile and laugh that you could hear from miles away and nobody can ever forget. Evangeline will be missed by her children, Paul Albert (Catherine), Joanne Albert and Daniel Albert (Paula); grandchildren, Aaron, Jordyn and Anthony; great-grandchild, Jamie; brothers, Ernest Roy (Irene Daigle) of Trudel, Jean-Paul Roy of Pokeshaw and Odilon Roy (Diane Caissie) of St-Amateur; sisters, Rosanna (Omer Godin) of Bertrand, Therese (Edmond Saucier) of Van Buren, Maine, Adrienne Roy of Saint-Antoine and Emilienne Cormier (Lorenzo); as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her predeceased parents, Evangeline was also predeceased by her brother, Ernest; triplets, Gerard, Edgar and Donat; as well as sister, Marie-Reine. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John (634-7425) with visiting on Thursday, April 7th, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The Funeral Liturgy will be held from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Friday, April 8th, 2016 at 11:00 AM. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
