Obituary of Douglas Harry Lingley

Lingley, Douglas Harry Jr. – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Douglas H. Lingley Jr. announces his sudden passing, which occurred on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at his residence. Born in Saint John on January 25, 1949, he was a son of the late Douglas H. and Alberta A. (Murray) Lingley. One of Doug’s favourite pastimes was spending time with his son, Scott. He also enjoyed many long driving escapes with his girlfriend, Kim. He looked forward to getting together with his B&B buddies every Thursday night and also to family gatherings at Lake Digdequash. He will be sadly missed by his son, Scott Lingley; his siblings, Patricia Lingley, Richard Lingley (the late Diane), Gerald Lingley (Joanne), John William Lingley, Sharon Driscoll (Derm) and David Lingley (Alice); eight nieces and nephews; ten great nieces and nephews; his loving girlfriend Kim Doyle; Kim’s children, Scott Doyle (Sarah) and Sean Doyle (Olivia) – and their son Levi. In addition to his parents, Doug was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Diane Lingley. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB (634-7425) with visiting on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 2-8pm. At the request of the family, a funeral service will be held privately. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Arthritis Society, Bobby’s Hospice or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
