Obituary of Richard Joseph Theriault

In his last moments here, he was surrounded by his loving family and was sent home with much love and many kisses. The passing of Richard Joseph Theriault of Quispamsis, husband of Suzanne (Kyffin) Theriault, occurred on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, on June 1, 1946, he was a son of the late Richard and Delia (Dorion) Theriault. Richard managed the Ken Val Co-op gas bar for twenty-two years until his retirement in 2010. He enjoyed bingo, cards, travelling, bowling, hunting and fishing. Richard was a people person with a warm and welcoming smile. Survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years Suzanne, his son Richard (Melissa) of Quispamsis, daughters; Tracey Tremblay (Gino) of Quebec, Carrie-Ann Turay of Ottawa, and Terri-Ann Clayton (Todd) of Moncton, brothers; Albenie, Valmont (Helen), and Walter, sisters; Doris Oxford (Marvin), and Theresa Messina (Sal), grandchildren; Sabrina, Lucy, Max, Gwen, Joseph, Carson, Quinn, and Spencer, great-grandchildren; Loic, Dylan, Hayden, and Sophie, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Richard was predeceased by his sister, Bertha Cachage, and brothers; Leonard, Raymond, and Raoul. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Sandy and Fred, and Irene Theriault for all their help and support. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark's Catholic Church on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
