Obituary of Nan Josephine Jean Melanson

The death of Nan Josephine Melanson of Rothesay, wife of the late Francis A. Melanson, occurred on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Embassy Hall, Quispamsis, NB. Born in Sussex, NB on January 15, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Evelyn (Garrett) Horseman. Nan enjoyed baking for her friends and family, whom she loved dearly and was a talented artist who enjoyed painting, ceramics and music. Nan is survived by her children; Bruce Melanson (Connie), Debbie Melanson (Vic Moore), Stephen Melanson (Jeannine Caissie), Robbie Melanson (Kelly), Darlene Melanson (Brian Empey), Dana Melanson, and Jessica Parlee (Donnie), grandchildren; Scott, Christopher, Michael, Katelyn, Erin, Ashley, Craig, Anthony, Dylan and Jordan; Great-grandchildren; Aliyah, Tyson, Caius and Owen, niece; Roxy Ann Eagle and nephew; Mark Penny and special friend, Bernice Miller. Besides her husband and her parents, Nan was predeceased by her brother Wayne. We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the special people of Shannex, who took wonderful care of our mother. We will be forever grateful. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Monday, March 16, 2015 2:00-4:00 pm & 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 2:00pm. Interment to take place at St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Hampton at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation or to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
