Surrounded by the love of his family, Michael passed away peacefully at Bobby's Hospice on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Born in Saint John on January 12, 1943, Michael was the son of the late Harold and Nora (McElwaine) Moore. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Lois (Menzies); his daughter, Heather (Sean) Ryan of Rothesay; his son, David (Randy Glazier) Moore of Saint John, and the light of his life, grandson Aidan Michael Ryan. Michael is also survived by his sisters, Anne (Richard) MacKay of Halifax, and Maureen (Wayne) Clifford of Edmonton, and his brother, Sean (Elaine) Moore of Quispamsis, as well as his aunt, Joyce Smith of Rothesay, and nieces, nephews, and cousins. After graduating from St. Francis Xavier University in 1965, Michael moved to Toronto where he worked in executive business and hotel management positions until he returned to Saint John in 1992. He retired in 2011 after 19 years as General Manager of Howard Johnson Hotel and the Holiday Inn Express Inn & Suites. Michael was active for a number of years as Chair of the Parish Finance Committee at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, and was a member of the Building Committee during the construction of the new church. Following cremation, the family will welcome visitors at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.
