My family and I were blessed to live next door to Marilyn for the last 15 years. She was so kind and loving to our family. We enjoyed many visits, yard chats, holidays and celebrations with her. She watched our children grow from a very young age and was always excited to share in their achievements. She also provided support with a listening ear when life challenges presented. She was like a grandmother to our kids and liked to surprise them with presents. She would also spoil our dogs with toys and clothes for all occasions. Marilyn even took our dog Gabby on vacation with her to Murray Corner one summer when she was dog sitting for us. When we picked the dog up, Marilyn had a photo album prepared of their trip. It will always hold a:special memory for us. We enjoyed listening to her life stories, latest travels and Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile events. She made so many masks for the community during the pandemic and would always ensure we had first pick and a sufficient supply of them. She is one of the most beautiful people we have ever met and we will forever treasure our memories , friendship and time spent with her. Rest in peace dear Marilyn…you were one of a kind ❤️

Marylin had been neighbours with my family for about 15 years. We had Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving dinners together every year. She has known my sisters and I since we were 5,6, and 7. She was like another grandmother to us. When I was admitted to hospital when I was 15 she was my first visitor. She came in with a stuffed animal and a smile. She was full of love and generosity. Marylin was the kindest person I had ever met in my lifetime. My condolences to friends and family.

We will forever cherish our trip to visit nana and spend time with her. She showed us so much and we are so thankful for those pictures and memories that we have from that trip.
We are saddened that she never got the chance to meet Jay in person but that didn’t stop her from loving and spoiling him from so far away, we are so grateful for that and all of her kindness. We will miss the phone calls and sending her pictures of Jay over email and updating her on all of his accomplishments.
We wish we could be there to celebrate her life but please know that we are thinking of everyone during this time and that she was so loved and she will be forever missed.
Rest easy, Nana.
All of the love, Craig, Jenna and Jay Eden

My Condolences go out to Marilyn’s family. Our family lives on her street and will always be grateful for her kindness and admire her independence. I actually think she was secretly competing to see if she could wash her car more often, or snowblow her driveway neater than mine. I first met Marilyn when she saw me struggling to get my old snowblower started in a storm. Despite the weather, her being my senior, and the blowing snow, she came out to offer me hers. When the garage door rolled up, her garage was spotless and the snowblower was neatly parked on a mat. Marilyn was a lady I could relate to.
When the next storm came I went to return the favor and clean her driveway with my old machine, but before I got the third strip done, Marilyn’s garage door opened up and out she came with hers! She REFUSED to let me finish that driveway. I think I wasn’t doing it to her standards, or perhaps she was worried about oil drips.
Marilyn would spoil our kids with special Halloween treat bags and unexpected Christmas gifts more than once. She always would mention how happy the comings and goings of the young families on the street made her.
We will miss her waves from across the way. Rest in peace.
