Obituary of Marilyn Theresa Nolan
It is with heartfelt sorrow, the daughter of Marilyn Theresa Nolan, wife of the late Michael Nolan, announce her passing on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Bobby’s Hospice.
Born on March 24, 1945, in Kemptville, ON, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Theresa (Drapeau) Graham. Marilyn was a Civilian for the Department of National Defense for 40 years until her retirement. In the time she served, she met her husband, Michael. Marilyn enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening and spending time with her wonderful friends whom she enjoyed playing cards with and going on adventures. She was a member of TOPS, Quispamsis, enjoying her time with the ladies.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter Kelly Nolan of Quispamsis, sisters; Karen Gervais (Mike) of Ontario, Cathy Gervais (Greg) of Manitoba, sister in law Dawna Graham of Ontario, brother in law Rick Howatt of Ontario, good friend Joey Boissonneault (Larry) of Ontario, as well as several nieces, nephews, and close friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Besides her husband and parents, Marilyn is predeceased by her brothers; Robert and Richard Graham, and her sister Linda Howatt.
Marilyn also wanted to recognize and say thank you for the care and support provided by Dr. B. Tutschka, Dr. M. Burnell, the nurses at the SJRH especially those in Oncology, the floors of 5AS, 3CN, 3CS for the great care they provided during her stays there and to the Extra Mural nurses who provided great care when she was home.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119) with visiting on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Rothesay, on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 11AM. Interment to take place at Oromocto Pioneer Gardens Cemetery in Oromocto at a later date. For those who wish, donations in memory of Marilyn, can be made to Bobby’s Hospice, the Canadian Breast Cancer, or to Quispamsis Elementary School – Home and School.
