So sorry to hear of Carmen’s passing. I always enjoyed running into him, as he worked for years with my Dad, Douglas Taylor, at the Coast Guard. He always had time to chat and tell me how much he enjoyed working with my Dad, how smart my Dad was and I always felt so blessed to get the chance to talk with him and hear his stories. I am sure you and Dad will be enjoying each others stories now.

My sincere condolences to you. It was always a joy to visits with Carmen and too share a laugh. He was also very generous to take me trout fishing, cook me beans and Simon's weiners, and to not long ago give me a compass out of a Canadian Navy ship and a map of Saint John's water system. I am not sure if he thought i might need the big compass to find the water in the City's water system. We would also laugh about the time when Gramp brought home a WWII bomb that he found on the beach. When Carmen saw it, in the kitchen, later that day he said thats a bomb and had it destroyed. Uncle Carmen will be missed but not forgotten. Rest in Peace.

Sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed visiting and conversing with Carmen and you all. He had a lot of Nelson in him in that he could meet a stranger and you would think he knew them from childhood. I appreciate his amazing woodworking skills in creating lighthouse miniatures. I'm so thankful that I had the opportunity to have him as an uncle and be family with Judy and family. While he may be no longer with us physically, rest assured that his spirit will live though you all. He will be missed and may you find solace in the lessons learned and the memories shared. Thoughts and prayers with you all at this time
Andrew Knight.
