Brian was my first cousin, son of Elenor, my mother's sister. As a boy, Brian was my hero. I remember when I was about 8 years old, Brian would take me everywhere with him. As he had a passion for cars, we would race from place to place. What other 18 year old guy would hang out with his 8 year old cousin. Brian did! And we had lots of fun.
We shared fabulous grandparents, Elenor's parents. Brian, my grandfather Jim Ackerson, and we used to spend time at Jim's farm in Ripples, NB. My job was to roll them cigarettes.
Over the years Brian and I kept in touch, as we shared a passion for the Caribbean.
Brian helped shape my life. I have unbounded respect for him and think of him and speak of him often. He was my older brother from another mother.
Rest in peace my brother.

To Brian's family,
I am deeply saddened, and shocked, to hear of Brian's passing - he was invincible to me. In 2008 when I went to work on a contract in Trinidad & Tobago, I met Brian through an introduction by Pat, "my father lives there, if you ever need anything", he said.
Brian was my Godsend, collecting me at the dock whenever I needed a break, and taking me back to my gated community safely. In exchange, I would bring him Crosby's Molasses whenever I returned. I saw him again years later at family friends, Mike and Kim Bury - I was so happy, I had thought I'd never see him again, that he would go to Somalia to keep us safe and the pirates at bay.
Brian was a good man, a kind man, helpful; he was wise, intuitive, humble, with a great sense of humour. I didn't know he was an advocate for women's rights until now but it makes sense - he always treated me as an equal. I wish I had known about the Bricklin. I have gotten to know Malcolm Bricklin over the years and I think they would've really enjoyed one another.
I will never forget Brian - I will treasure him in my memories. My deepest condolences to his family - I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Joan, Deanna & Mike, Patrick & Bev,
I send my sincere condoalences for the loss of such a wonderful man.
Brian was so kind to me, he helped me when I needed him, he hosted Mike and I on the big red boat and always had a smile when greeting us at his home.He did not judge anyone. The stories were endless, always learned something about his travels each time. I have never seen anyone that talked to the monkeys like Brian. I have so many memories, all good ones. He was truely interested in everyones life, when soneone spoke to him he listened with genuine care. I can honestly say I have never met anyone like Brian Quigg. He was a one of a kind. Rest easy Brian, we will all cherish our memories of you.

Brian you were my second dad. The way you always checked in me after losing my dad showed how thoughtful you were. I truly loved you like a father and I know you knew that by your reaction when I called you in the hospital. I'll miss our conversations, but you get to argue with dad again. I'll deeply miss you and I love you.
My sincere condolences to Joan,Patrick,Deanne, and Bev.
I'll see you on the other side. Love Candy

Both Dana and I will be in the States on the day of his funeral/celebration of a life well lived. All of you will be in our thoughts and prayers. We are so very sorry for your loss and the tremendous void he will undoubtedly leave with your family and friends. Unfortunately, we only met him once, at Patrick and Bev's wedding celebration, and he left us craving more of his stories. Heaven just got a lot more fun!
