Paul Henri Joseph LeBlanc July 12, 1960 - August 10, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Henri Joseph LeBlanc who left this world on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina, USA, at the age of 64.
Paul was born in Moncton, NB, Canada to Douglas LeBlanc and the late Mildred (Lirette) LeBlanc on July 12th, 1960.
Paul’s willingness to help others was demonstrated daily through his career in nursing. He was an established RN with a PhD, and his most recent path led him to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist as a Nurse Manager of Radiology. His compassion, wisdom, and dedication to his patients and colleagues were hallmarks of his distinguished career.
Paul is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judy (Stein) LeBlanc, and their three daughters, Kristen Harris (Frank), Heidi Jorgenson (Matthew), and Bryanna LeBlanc, who will continue to carry on his legacy. He was a proud Poppa to his grandchildren, Zaydin, Ashlyn, Zoie, Truette (TJ) and Harper. He is also survived by father (mentioned above), stepmother Barbara (Murray) LeBlanc, brother Brian LeBlanc (Pam); sister Norma Kelly (Eugene); along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his dearest friends, Clifford “Spiff” Wadman and Lawrence “Tommy” Twiddy.
Paul was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Kaela, who passed away in May 2022, and his mother, Mildred LeBlanc.
Paul will be most remembered for his love for his family, his bright personality, brilliant mind, calming voice, love for cooking, willingness to always lend an ear or offer advice, his words of wisdom, drive to find the best deals, and his comforting spirit. He was often seen by friends in Walmart, Home Depot, or Lowes with his sidekicks Matt and/or TJ. Paul’s wisdom, warm personality, and calm demeanor made him a pillar of strength for all who knew him.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Paul was a published author. He was working on several short stories to honor the memory of his daughter, who passed away in May of 2022, and was currently working on many short stories to carry on his daughter Kaela’s legacy. His daughter's plan is to eventually publish these short stories.
A Funeral Service was held in Graham, NC on Saturday, August 17th, 2024, at Bethel Baptist Church. His service can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/live/-tnW7zq9h4Y?si=k-iMBYkmUo80fCno
