Obituary of Jeannine Marie Vautour
It is with heartfelt sorrow, the family of Jeannine Marie (Breau) Vautour, wife of the late Leonard Vautour, announce her passing on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Embassy Hall.
Born on April 23, 1941, in Pont-LaFrance, NB, she was a daughter of the late Oliver and Marie Ann (Brideau) Breau. Jeannine was a sales associate at K-Mart that became Zellers in Saint John West for many years until her retirement in 2006.
Family was important to Jeannine, and she always had a house full of family and friends at any given point of time around her dining room table. This allowed her love and talent for baking the opportunity to shine. Jeannine never missed the opportunity to feed somebody and then send them home with a plate. Her cherry cheese squares, banana bread, meat pies and shortbread cookies will be talked about for many Christmases to come.
She was a strong woman who deeply loved her family and friends. Jeannine was always there to support and take care of others. She always seemed to know what people needed and do just the right thing at just the right time.
Jeannine was an extremely talented seamstress, being able to stitch whatever project she was given to do. When she wanted to relax, she enjoyed a good game of cards, watching golf and figure skating.
Jeannine is survived by her sons; Gerald Vautour (Ellen) of Middle Sackville, NS, and Roger Vautour (Donna) of Saint John, brother Clifford Breau (Theresa) of Rothesay, sisters; Laudia (Breau) Saunders of Saint John, Annonciade Vienneau of Rothesay, and Jeanne d’Arc Daigle (Ivan) of Saint John as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Besides her parents and husband, Jeannine is predeceased by her sister Gemma.
