Obituary of Dale McIntyre

It is with great sadness that the family of Dale John McIntyre announces his passing on January 4, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Saint John on October 14, 1954, he was the son of Stella (Daley) McIntyre and the late Lee McIntyre. Dale was a lifelong member of Assumption Parish. He was an avid reader and book collector, and as well enjoyed his music and writing. A loving and devoted son and brother, he will be sadly missed. Dale is survived by his loving mother Stella; his brothers Ken (Dawn) of Riverview and Barry of Saint John. He is also survived by four nieces and nephews Shelly, Gregory, Heather and Peter, as well as nine grand-nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his father Joseph “Lee” McIntyre on January 20, 2012. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, NB, E2M 2L3. Visitation will take place on January 6, 2014 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Church on January 7, 2014 at 12pm. Interment will follow the service at the Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will be held following interment at the Castle “Fallsview” Reception Center. Donations made to the Assumption Building Fund, The Lung Association or to the Charity of the Donors Choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
