Obituary of Stella Doreen O'Donnell

Mrs. Stella "Doreen" O'Donnell, widow of the late Thomas Andrew O'Donnell, passed away peacefully at the Loch Lomond Villa "The Village"on Friday, April 4, 2014.A daughter of the late William and Stella (Delaney) Reid, she was born in Fairville,N.B., om March 22, 1938. Doreen was a volunteer for the boy scouts for 35 years, volunteer for the Cancer society and Westfield Home and School Assoc. She enjoyed bowling and bowled for the Fairview and Grand Bay leagues. After her family was grown, she went to work at Burger King and after 20 years of service she retired from there. Doreen is survived by one son, Doug "Sonny"(Terrina) O'Donnell, of Grand Bay - Westfield, and their children Adam, and Hayley, both of Grand Bay - Westfield, two daughters, Dawn Marie O'Donnell, of GrandBay - Westfield, and Diane (Terry) Pittman, of Oromocto, N.B., and their children Michelle and Courtney, also of Oromocto, N.B., three brothers, Kevin (Linda) Reid, of Grand Bay - Westfield, Harold (Yvette) Reid, of Grand Bay - Westfield, and William (Marg) Reid, of London, Ontario, one sister, Sylvia Reid, of Saint John, and one sister-in-law, Elaine Reid, of Oak pt., two aunts, Jessie Jonah, and Mary Kirpatrick, both of Sussex, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, and husband Thomas, she was pre-deceased by two brothers, Doug"Sonny"Reid, Allen Reid, and one sister, Vickey Sullivan. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. E2M 2L3 634 1701. Visitation will be held on Monday April 7th, and Tuesday April 8th, 2014 form 2 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 9th, 2014 at 10:00 am with Fr. David Martin officiating. A reception will follow the service at Castle "Fallsview" reception center. Interment will take place in St. Augustine's Cemetery later in the spring. Donations to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
