Carmelita (Carm) Elizabeth McKinley April 10, 1924 – November 28, 2013 With saddened Hearts the Family of Carmelita (Carm) Elizabeth DeRosa (Earle) McKinley announces her peaceful passing on November28th, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Minto, N.B. she was the daughter of the late Evelyn and John DeRosa and stepfather Herbert Earle. She lived in West Saint John all of her life. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years Alvin Wilson McKinley, only daughter Wanda (Bob) Belliveau, Granddaughters Natasha Belliveau (Shane), Vanessa Belliveau and Grandson Nathan Belliveau (Hannah), a Special little boy in her life Avery Hawkes, a brother Leslie (Elaine) Earle, several nieces and nephews. She was a special Aunt to her nieces Brenda and Karen Sullivan and nephews Daryl and Jeffrey Earle and great niece Molly Sullivan. Predeceased by her son Derrick McKinley, grandson Brandon McKinley, sisters Evelyn (Colin) Hayward and Helen (Harry) Sullivan. Carm attended Fairville Superior School and Vocational High School, and then graduated from Modern Business College. She worked at NB Tel for many years and then at the Kmart Lancaster Mall until her retirement where she made many friends. She loved to travel with her family and was delighted to attend her grandchildren’s baseball and hockey games and life events. She never missed a birthday or occasion which involved them and was very much active in all of their lives up until her passing. She also attended many Saint John Seadog games which she enjoyed and was a Season Ticket holder for a number of years. . Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, NB, E2M 2L3. Visitation will take place Sunday, December 1, 2013 from 2 to 4pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 from the Castle “Fallsview” Chapel at 10:30am. A reception will follow the service at the Castle “Fallsview” Reception Center. Interment will take place at a later date.
