Obituary of June Cogswell

We announce with great sadness the passing of our mother, Mrs. June Cogswell ,age 87, of Lepreau. Passing away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Bobby’s Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of Gordon and Muriel Munford (Whittaker). She was known to most for her boundless energy and her commitment to her family. Admired for the relentless love, care and devotion to her family. Cherished the love of her family and the good life they all shared. June had a keen wit and full of one liners. She was a tireless cook, who generously shared her baked goods throughout the community. Besides baking she enjoyed watching movies, reading, crossword puzzles, knitting, crocheting and playing on the computer. June touched many hearts and many lives over the course of her life. June will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her and will remain in our hearts and thoughts forever. Coke was her one and only beverage. Playing cards with the Lepreau Card Club. June was the mother of Richard (Barb) Cogswell, Lepreau, Fayecarole (John) Thorne, Saint John, Kym (Jim) Bent and George Denny (Lisa) Cogswell, Lepreau. Grandmother of 7, Great- Grandmother of 16 and Great-Great Grandmother of 8. Also an Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
