Obituary of Florence Stewart

Mrs. Florence Sarah Stewart, wife of the late Halsey T. Stewart passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her family at her side on Tuesday, April 01, 2014. A daughter of the late Freeman and Elizabeth “Lida” (Belyea) Hanson, she was born in Lower Hainesville NB on July 19, 1923. Florence is survived by her daughter Nancy (Peter) Conway of Saint John; grandson Peter Michael Conway of Saint John; two sisters Joan Haines and Derma Crouse both of Fredericton; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband; two brothers Stanley and Ashley Hanson; three sisters Ida Hanson, Ola Brewer and infant Violet Hanson. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, NB, E2M 2L3. Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 from the Castle “Fallsview” Chapel at 11:00am with Rev. Kevin Hicks officiating. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery following the service.
