Obituary of Etta Hector

Mrs. Etta Mae Hector of Grand Bay- Westfield, wife of the late George Hector, passed away peacefully at the Rocmaura Nursing Home on Sunday, January 12, 2014. Born in Central Greenwhich, NB, on October 26, 1919, a daughter of the late Edward and Edith (Francis) Murphy. She is survived by her two sons, Edward Hector of Grand Bay and James (Barb) Hector of Welsford; her daughter Rhoda (Bob) Williams of Milford; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; her sister Leona Arsenault of West Saint John; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 67 years George Hector; her brother Ronald (Edna) Murphy; sister Gertrude (Aubrey) McKinney; her daughter-in-law Marlene Hector. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, NB, E2M 2L3. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 9:00am from St. Augustine’s Church. Donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, St. Augustine’s Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
