Obituary of A. Dorothy Trott

On Tuesday, April 14, 2015, Dorothy Trott, wife of the late Elmer Trott, went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. She was born on July 7, 1923 in West Leicester, Nova Scotia to the late Roland and Grace (Smith) Shipley. Dorothy was a devoted hair dresser for 66 years. She enjoyed many shopping trips to the states and relaxing in her trailer at the Town and Country Campground. Dorothy was a great cook, always taking advantage of seasonal favorites like apple pies, jams, and pickled beets. Above all, she loved her family, taking great pleasure in family vacations. Dorothy will be missed by those she leaves behind, her sons; Peter (Pauline) Trott, David Trott, and John Trott, her grandchildren; Sarah (Michael) Cobb and Joshua Trott, her brother-in-law; Alan Trott, her nieces; Janet (Stanley) Boates, Jean (Robert) Prosser, Patti (Scott) Gilbert, and Mary Ouellette, and her nephew; Donald (Lynn) Trott, along with several great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Dorothy was predeceased by her brother Carman Shipley, her sisters Ellen Palmer and Edith Shipley, and her sister-in-law Jackie Trott. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424, At Dorothy’s request, there will be no visitation. However family and friends are welcome to attend the Funeral Service which will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel.
