Obituary of Francis Thorne

It is with great sadness that the family of Frank Thorne announces his death which occurred on January 25, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was a son of the late William and the late Beatrice (Ritchie) Thorne. Frank was a painter and laborer at the refinery and was a member of Local 900 until he fell ill. Frank comes from a very large family of 16. He is survived by two of his sons; Trevor Mosher and Robert Mosher, both of Saint John; siblings Genevieve Thorne, Brenda Thorne, Penny McMillan, Terry Thorne, Mary Barrieau (John), Monica Burns, Allan Thorne (Georgina), Deborah Wright (George), Beth Thompson, Wendy MacDougall (Jeff), and Miranda Thorne all of Saint John; three grandchildren; godchildren Candice and Crystal Wright and Godson George McMillan; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Suzanne. Besides his parents, Frank is predeceased by his son Jason Mosher, and bothers Donald, William, Earl and Richard. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 and Thursday January 29, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-9. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Peters Catholic Church on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Internment to be held in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery at a later day.
