Obituary of Frankie Day

Frankie Day, loving husband of Evelyn (Breen) Day, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born June 21, 1936 in Saint John, he was a son of the late Frank and Beatrice (Bond) Day and Roberta "Bertie" (Bayley) Day. Frankie was a Pipefitter and member of Local 213 Plumbers/Pipefitters until his retirement. He was a member of the Saint John Seventh-day Adventist Church. In addition to his wife, Evelyn, Frankie will be missed by his children, Paul of Whitby, ON and Tracy Day-LaBobe of Lennox Island, PE; grandchildren: Michael and Noah Day-LaBobe and Emily and Brandon Day; great-granddaughter, Aubree Frankee Marie Day; sister, Barbara Day, son-in-law, Mike LaBobe, and mother-in-law Dorothy Breen. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Donald. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the Extra Mural Program and the doctors and staff of the Saint John Regional Hospital for their compassion and care of Frankie, and Brenan’s Funeral Home for their help and kindness through this difficult process. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424. There will be no visitation, however a graveside service will be held at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 1pm with a reception to follow at Brenan’s Bay View Reception Centre, 1461 Manawagonish Road. For those who wish, remembrances to the Seventh-day Adventist Church Building fund or the Saint John SPCA/Animal Rescue would be appreciated by the family.
