Obituary of F. Hilda Rae

The passing of F. Hilda Rae occurred on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at her residence in Loch Lomond Village. Born in Saint John on September 20, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Annie Beatrice (Cheyne) and Gordon Warren Rae. Prior to her retirement, Hilda worked in the Payroll Department of Willett Fruit. She was a keen traveler and an animal lover, especially of Cairn Terriers. Hilda is survived by her sister, Helen Rae; brother, Charlie Rae; sister-in-law, Mary Rae; nieces and nephews: Gordon Rae, Dawn Rae, Judy Coston, Jill Rae, Jane Rae, Bev Pearson, Stephen Rae, Marilyn Williams, and Evelyn Feicht; and cousins: Frank and David Loomer. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Gretta Williams; and her brothers: John and Wendell Rae. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424. ***Family and friends of Hilda are invited to meet at the office at Fernhill Cemetery on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 10:30 am to process to the grave, where we will participate in a short celebration of her life and interment of ashes.***
