Obituary of Frederick G. Harris

Frederick G. Harris "Fred" passed away January 17, 2014, in the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on September 13, 1931 in Caplan Cove, NL, he was a son of late Walter and Julia (Young) Harris. Fred work for Baxter Dairy from 1964 until 1994. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, M. Elizabeth "Betty" (White) Harris; children, Linda Kinney (Milford), Saint John and Nancy Bartlett (Daniel), St. Andrews; sisters, Edna Griffith, Saint John, Pearl Cousins, NL; Maxine Lockyer (Ernest) NL; grandchildren, Gregory Kinney (Michelle), Michael Kinney (Julie), Bradley Kinney, Jordan Bartlett (Susan) , Nicholas Bartlett and great grandchildren, Dakota Kinney and Chloe Bartlett; Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Hedley Harris and Walter Harris and Maxwell Harris in infancy; sister, Janet Badcock. Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 10:00 AM from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to Canadian Diabetic Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the Animal Rescue League would be appreciated by the family.
