Obituary of Edna Theresa Cannon

With her family at her side the death of Edna Cannon (Barker, Albert), wife of the late Joseph M. Albert occurred at the Saint John regional Hospital on Saturday, August 10, 2013. She was born on April 24, 1928 in Saint John to the late N. F. "Frank" and Iona (Ferrier) Barker. Edna worked hard all of her life holding many jobs and raising her family. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children: Cheryl Albert, Norman Albert and Joseph "Bud" Albert all of the Saint John Area; brother, Ernest Barker; grandchildren: Dawn Miller, Natasha Wilkins, Joseph "Joey" Albert, JR Albert and Christopher Albert; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and several brothers and sisters. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Although there will be no funeral service, friends and family will be received on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Due to allergies please do not send flowers or wear any heavy perfume. For those who wish remembrances to the Palliative Care Unit (SJRH) would be appreciated by the family.
