Obituary of Alvina Colpitts

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Alvina Colpitts which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 19, 2013. She was born on November 25, 1938 in Caraquet to the late Alexandre and Emilienne (Landry) Cormier. Alvina worked for the Department of Environmental Services at St. Joseph's Hospital and the Saint John Regional Hospital until her retirement in 2003. She leaves behind one son, Garry Colpitts (Carol) their children, Alexandre and Gabrille of Port Charlotte, FL; her adoptive daughter and dear friend, Andrea of Saint John; her sister, Stella of Saint John; brothers: Jean and Claude of Montreal, QC, Henri of Toronto and Yvon (Ella) their children: Sarah (Mike) and Mark of Rothesay. In addition to her parents, Alvina was predeceased by her brother, Almer. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place in Caraquet, NB at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). For those who wish, remembrances to the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
