Obituary of Grace Lorraine Coyle

It is with great sadness and shock the family of Grace Lorraine Coyle, devoted wife of 53 years to the late John Edward Coyle, announce her unexpected passing on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at home with family by her side. Born in Saint John, on August 3, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Howard John and Clara May (Day) Hobbs. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She had been employed at Eastern Bakeries, Canada Packers, Brook Bond Tea Factory, and Cochrane’s Convenience, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Mission Church, and enjoyed Sunday drives with her late husband, her many friends and sitting out with the girls at Shamrock Court, her daytrips to Calais, spending time with her family, many restless nights snuggling with her grandson, Drake, and sneaking sweets to Drake and Cohen. She is survived by her nieces, who were like daughters to her, Wanda (Roland) Griffith, Lori (Ali) Hobbs and Lisa (Malcolm) Pitt and several other nieces and nephews; her sisters-in-law, Anne Hobbs and Barbara Craig. She was a special "Nannie" to John J. (Melissa), Drake, Daniel (Sam), Megan (Rylan), Keven, Cohen, Caleb, Greyson, J.P., Carter, Cody and Austin. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her step son, Walter John "Buster" Coyle and six brothers: Norman, Howard, David, Kenneth, Vernon and Ralph. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 9-11 am. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at St. John Baptist (Mission Church) and St. Clement on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Bobby’s Hospice or Mission Church would be appreciated by the family. "I’ll meet you at the moon."
