Obituary of Eleanor Dorothy McLeod

It is with great sadness that the family of Eleanor Dorothy McLeod of Saint John, wife of William McLeod, announces her passing on Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home. Born on June 27, 1944 in St. John’s, NL, she was the daughter of the Jean (Summers) and the late Wendell Jones. Eleanor loved to spend time doing crafts, sewing and singing. She is survived by her loving husband, William; son, William (Debbie); mother, Jean Jones; two brothers, Butch (Crystal) and Harold (Debbie) Jones; special nephew, Gordie; several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was predeceased by her father, Wendell Jones. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of Cedar and Elm Lane of the Loch Lomond Villa and also the St. Joseph’s Hospital 5th floor for their care and compassion. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation or the Alzheimer Society.
