Obituary of Douglas Murray Colwell

Douglas Colwell, husband of Verna (McKinney) Colwell, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. He was born in Saint John on January 11, 1926, and worked as the General Manager of the Exhibition Park Raceway, and was the former owner of the Park Plaza Motel. In addition to his wife Verna, Douglas is survived by his daughter Barbara (Wally) Hennessey of Coconut Creek, Florida, and his granddaughter Kristy. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday at 10:00am. Interment will take place at a later date.
