Obituary of Ada Daley

Ada Ann Daley passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the Saint John Regional Hospital on May 8th. She lived a wonderful 89 years. She and her husband Ken ran a general store on Golden Grove Road in Saint John for nearly 50 years before retiring. She worked for several companies in Saint John as a secretary. These included: the School Board, Dunn and Bradstreet, Dominion Rubber, Commercial Equipment, Lawyer Ralph Broderick, Revenue Canada, and CN Rail. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Daley. Ann will be sadly missed by her son Alan & wife Merian (Quispamsis, NB) and their sons Leslie & wife Trudy (Charlotte, NC), Christopher & wife Francesca (Halifax, NS), Andrew & wife Meghan (Baltic, PE), as well as her son Brian (Quispamsis, NB) and his son Sean & wife Jill (Saint John, NB) and his daughter Anneke (Halifax, NS). She was fortunate to have several great-grandchildren including: Lucas, Miranda, Evelyn, Jakob, Finnegan, Xander, and Rowan. Ann was a long time resident of Shannex, Embassy Hall in Quispamsis and family are grateful for the excellent care she received there. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, May 10 from 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 12 noon. Flowers, or remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
