Obituary of M.A. Helen Hosford

The death of M.A. Helen (Lloyd) Hosford, wife of the late Tom H. Hosford, occurred peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2012, at Kennebec Manor. Born in Chatham, NB on April 12, 1923, she was a daughter of the late William and Angela (Mallette) Lloyd. Helen worked as a school teacher for many years, enjoyed travelling, and was an avid sports fan. She attended St. Pius X, and more recently attended St. Rose of Lima. Helen is survived by four sisters-in-law, several cousins, nieces and nephews, and several close friends; she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 7-9 pm, and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Rose of Lima Church on Friday at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
