Obituary of Doris Hazel Puddington Hoyt
The death of Doris Hazel Puddington Hoyt, wife of the late Edwin T. W. Puddington and the late Garnet E. Hoyt, occurred on October 19, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Lower Cove, NB, she was the daughter of the late Colpitts and Georgie (Reid) Kaye. She was a practical nurse, was proprietor of Ed's Taxi, and worked with Irving Oil Limited until her retirement in 1976. She was a great family person and a friend to many. She enjoyed gardening. She was active with the United Church of Canada and served on many boards and committees over the years. She was a member of the UCW. She is survived by her daughter Linda Puddington of Saint John, her step-sons Douglas Hoyt and his wife Sheila of Moncton, David Hoyt and his wife Margaret of Quispamsis, Brian and his wife Sharon of Hampton, her brothers Walter Kaye and his wife Jean of Sussex, Roy (Bud) Kaye and his wife Glenna of Jacksonville, FL, her sister Marjorie Pagett of Sussex, her grandchildren Scott, Allison, James, Matthew, Bethany, and Joel, her great-grandchildren Olivia and Mark, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Elvin, Wesley and William Kaye and her grandson Barry. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2002, at 11:00 AM, from Silver Falls United Church. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
