Obituary of Mary T. Jacqueline Wilson

Surrounded by her loving family, the passing of Mary Theresa Jacqueline "Jackie" (Masson) Wilson of Quispamsis, NB, wife of Chester Wilson occurred on March 16, 2011 at the Palliative Care Unit, Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on April 30, 1942, she was a daughter of the late John "Jack" and Mary Eva (Martin) Masson. She is survived by son, Paul Soucy of Saint John; daughters, Brenda Connell (Gary) of Saint John, Cheryl Cowie (David) of Nauwigewauk, Nichole Reynolds (David) and Michelle Reynolds (Ben) both of Quispamsis; brothers, David Masson and James "Jimmy" Masson; sisters, Rose Marie Masson, Sandra Masson, Karen Graham and Mary Masson – Hummell; thirteen grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and best friend of 35 years Theresa Hughson. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Soucy. For fourteen years Jackie was a committed and caring Crisis Intervener with Hestia House, where she was loved by both staff and residents. For many years of her life she was a faithful member of the Prayer Group with whom she shared her deep spiritual commitment to Christ. She will be remembered in all hearts as a woman who put others needs before her own. Her joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren and entertaining family and friends. To know her was to love her. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, with visiting on Thursday, March 17 from 7-9 pm and Friday, March 18 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 19, 2011 from St. Marks Catholic Church; Quispamsis at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at later date.
