Obituary of E. Miriam Cameron

Cameron, E. Miriam “Miggy” … The death of E. Miriam “Miggy” (Miller) Cameron of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Angus Cameron, occurred on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Campbellton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Bessie (MacIntosh) Miller. Miggy was employed with G.E. Barbour Co. and later with Union Carbide as a secretary until her retirement. She was a member and played bridge with the Lancaster Seniors Club, original member of the National Secretary’s Association, volunteered with the Bi Capitol Project and Centenary Queen Square Church Seniors Club. Miggy is survived by niece, Joan (Mel) Mercier of Rothesay, NB, great-nephews, Steven (Nadia) Mercier, Michael Mercier and Keith (Nancy) Hicks, great-nieces, Marlaine (Geoff) Neagle and Janet Hicks, great-great nieces, Olivia Mercier, Hannah Mercier and great-great nephew, Luke Mercier. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by brother, Bert Miller, sisters, Frances Hicks and Effie Ashton and nephew Donald Hicks. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2007 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
