Obituary of Ann Armour

Armour, Ann … Loving mother of Sheila (Donald) French, Saint John, NB, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 13, 2007 in her 85th year. Born in Malagash, NS, she was the daughter of Charles Irving and Helena Mae (Reeves) Seaman. She was predeceased by her husband William “Bill” Armour, Saint John, NB, her parents, brothers Fred and Bill Seaman of Halifax, NS, and sister Beulah Haughan of Saint John, NB. Ann was employed at Woods Bros. Ltd. in Halifax and following her marriage moved to Saint John working at Calps Ltd. for many years. She was a giving person who always thought of others first, a volunteer for many charities, a member of the chancel guild of St. Luke's Anglican Church, an avid gardener and a great golf fan. A much loved “Nan” to her three grandchildren Joanna (Michael) Siauw, Montreal, PQ, D.J. French and fiancee, Leslie Savary, Halifax, NS, Alison French and Mario Scichilone of Saint John, NB. Proud “Grammy” to her great-grandchildren Christian and Ethan Siauw of Montreal, PQ. Fondly remembered by nieces Carol (Ron) Augustine, Lindsay, ON, Debbie Somerville, Saint John, NB, Beverly Janes, Saint John, NB, Pamela Moore, Sackville, NS, and nephews Fred and James Blinn, Halifax, NS. She will be greatly missed by her good friends Ruth Wetmore and bob Loeman. A special thank you to the caregivers at “We Care,” Carol Dawn McLaughlin and Joanne Hampton, Extra Mural Program, Dr. Susan Grey and staff. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506- 634-7424) with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 11:15 am, from Brenan’s Chapel with interment at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery, Field of Honour. Remembrances may be made to the NB Lung Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
