Obituary of Joseph Merlin O’Reilly

O’Reilly, Joseph Merlin The death of Joseph Merlin O’Reilly occurred on February 10, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Verdun, PQ, he was the son of the late Michael and Gladys (McCarthy) O’Reilly. During his working life he was employed in construction. He is survived by his children Wayne, Carol Anne and Linda Marie, his grandchildren Dawson, Emma and Randy, special friend ‘daughter’ Nancy Smith and her daughter Amanda, friend April Walker, brother Michael and sister Norma Cook and his nieces and nephews. His companion Arlene Henderson predeceased him. Following cremation at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, at 1:00 pm, from Brenans Chapel. Intrerment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Research, would be appreciated.
