Obituary of Leola Mabel Parfitt

PARFITT, LEOLA M.- The death of Leola Mabel Parfitt of the Loch Lomond Villa, Saint John, wife of the late Royal “Roy” George Parfitt, occurred on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at her residence. Born in Saint John on November 6, 1917, she was the daughter of the late M. J. and Jessie G. (DeLong) McCarroll. Mrs. Parfitt was a member of the South Bay Opals Senior Citizens Club, St. Matthew’s Presbyterian Church and a former member of St. Matthew’s Church Tuesday Night Ladies Group. She is survived by one son, LeRoy M. Parfitt (Sharon) of Toronto, ON, son-in-law, William McGouey of Saint John, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Norma McGouey and two brothers, Guthrie and Harold McCarroll. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the Alzheimer’s Society or the charity of the donors’ choice would be appreciated.
