Obituary of Mary Shirley GOGUEN
GOGUEN, Mary Shirley … The death of Mary Shirley Goguen of Saint John, NB, wife of the late John F. Goguen, occurred on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John West on September 11, 1934, a daughter of the late J. Andrew and Mary Alice (Martin) Gray. Mary had been employed in Food Service at St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Mediterranean Restaurant and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Legion Branch # 64. Survived by four children: Mary Ann Goguen, Bonnie Eagles, April Armstrong and Tony (Linda) Goguen, all of Saint John; two daughters-in-law: Anita Goguen of Saint John and Kim Goguen of Mispec, NB; two sisters: Frances McInnis of Nova Scotia and Doris Jones of Oshawa, ON; two brothers: Fred (Mamie) Gray of Saint John and Louie Gray of Norton, NB; eighteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents and husband; two sons: David and John Goguen; seven brothers: Ronnie, Gordon, Georgie, Andie, Jimmie, Walter, Alfred and Vincent Gray; two sisters: Agnes Melvin and Constance Gray. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Waterloo St., Saint John on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at 12 noon. Interment will be in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
